Steve Riach
Steve is a founder and chief designer of the Heart of a Champion corporate character-building program. For over two decades, Steve has been known for bringing virtuous media content to people all over the world. As president of SER Media, a Dallas based media firm, Steve is an award-winning producer, director and writer of films, videos and television and radio programming, making him one of the leading virtuous content creators in America. He has also authored 12 books, with others scheduled for release. As a producer, director and writer, his creative expertise has produced impressive results: a series of national television and video awards, acclaim as a best-selling author, and the breakthrough of the Heart of a Champion brand as a purveyor of virtuous content.
An award-winning documentary filmmaker and television producer, Steve oversees creative development and production of all media products. Under the Heart of a Champion banner, he has executive produced, produced, written or directed successful television programs and films which have been seen on NBC, ESPN, Fox Sports and PAX-TV, as well as through a variety of outlets around the world, including his recent film on the Sudan, With Open Eyes, and recent biographical film, The Minister of Defense: The Reggie White Story.
Steve has served as an on-air talent for both television and radio, and has covered nearly every major sporting event, including the past 21 Super Bowls, the Olympics, World Series, NBA and NCAA Championships, major golf tournaments and college football Bowl Games. He has produced and directed acclaimed specials such as Passion & Power: Champions of Women’s Sports, Reversing the Curse, Sammy Sosa: Making History, Spirit of the Game, Driving Force, Give Me the Rock, Making the Turn, Heading for Home, The Bart Starr Award, and Power to Win. In addition, he is currently developing story lines and screenplay treatments for his company’s feature film projects.
As an author, Steve has written 9 books in the Heart of a Champion series and three books for Hallmark, including the best-selling Amazing But True Sports Stories, and developed and authored the critically acclaimed Heart of a Champion youth education curriculum. A frequent speaker to groups of all types, he is also a cancer survivor.
